Life's a Fair

Life is a fair. no really, think about it.

Life is full of crowds, full of people; most of the time you just bump into, apologize, and keep on going.
There are rides in life too, some scary challenges and other peaceful memories; sometimes standing in line and being patient is annoying, but when you finally get to the ride, you forget about how much time it took you to get there.  And once the ride is over you reflect and things don't seem as sucky as they did while you were waiting.
You eat too much and spend too much money, end up walking a lot just to realize that it isn't the end destination that made the journey worthwhile, but the journey itself.

Sometimes I get so caught up in my end goal that I forget to enjoy life - every aspect of it.
Maybe that flaw is intertwined in the worldview of ambition I have adopted for myself over the years; with all eyes on our accomplishments and how we can improve, sometimes we forgot/forget that taking time out of our lives to make memories is just as important.

So stepping up to bat is the new objective I have taken on: making time to make memories.

With a new job and new responsibilities on my plate, ambition levels are rising high within me.  There are so many objectives I have on my ever growing list of personal and professional advancement. Most times it is hard for me to be patient, understanding that I am just starting off and things take processes; the boiling waters of ambition inside me sometimes have to be cooled down by patience, which, at times, comes out as tears of frustration.
Yet, it is the ever long battle of being patient with the process.
For I know that at the end of this long line, there will be a beautiful ride in store for me; a Ferris Wheel that allows me to reflect on the beauty of my journey, that if I had not embraced patience and swallowed frustration, I would not have been lifted above by means of my ambition and God's blessings to see such beauty.

Life is but a fair; full excitement, frustration, and very interesting people.
Enjoy the beautiful moments; grow in the frustrating moments; and make it a point to enjoy the company of those around you.
